saguṇa
Having attributes or qualities.
In Vedanta
Brahman as described with attributes — omniscient, omnipotent, the creator and sustainer of the universe. Saguṇa Brahman is Īśvara — Brahman as understood from the standpoint of the empirical world. The distinction between nirguṇa and saguṇa is not a distinction between two Brahmans but two levels of teaching — saguṇa descriptions prepare the mind; nirguṇa teaching reveals the final truth.
