taijasaḥ
Name of the dreamer - the shining one.
In Vedanta
The name given to ātmā as identified with the dream state in the Māṇḍūkya Upaniṣad. Called 'the shining one' because in dream the mind alone illumines the entire dream world without external light or objects. Taijasa experiences the subtle, internally projected world. It is the second pāda — ātmā functioning through the subtle body alone.
