titikṣā
Cheerful endurance; bearing opposites with equanimity.
In Vedanta
The capacity to cheerfully endure the pairs of opposites — heat and cold, pleasure and pain, praise and blame — without being disturbed or seeking to retaliate. Titikṣā is one of the six inner disciplines. It is not suppression or indifference but a mature acceptance that allows the mind to remain available for self-inquiry even amidst life's inevitable discomforts.
