uparatih
Stopping; not doing actions which distract or inhibit your growth.
In Vedanta
Withdrawal from activities that do not support one's growth — one of the six inner disciplines. Uparati is sometimes understood as the natural withdrawal that follows śama and dama, and sometimes as strict adherence to one's svadharma. It is not escapism but a deliberate focusing of one's life around what truly matters — the pursuit of self-knowledge.
