vairāgyam
Dispassion toward worldly gain.
In Vedanta
Dispassion born of discrimination — the natural falling away of longing for the results of action, both in this world and in any other. Vairāgya is not suppression or aversion but a clear seeing that no finite result can deliver lasting fullness. It arises naturally from viveka and is the second of the four qualifications (sādhanatuṣṭayam).
